AB  - This article describes the development of a modern search engine-based information retrieval setting from its envisioning through to its technological realization. The author takes up the thread of an earlier article on this subject (ZfBB 51 (2004), 5/6), this time from a technical viewpoint. After presenting the conceptual considerations of the initial stages,this article deals principally with the technological aspects of the project.
