AB  - This contribution deals with a self-help-project in the field of health care. The aim of the project was the coordination and linking of several groups of cancer patients in a metropolitan region. The author discusses not only the theoretical framework of networking but also practical problems which occur during the process of realisation. Such experiences are necessary for the further development of the concept.
