TY - JOUR AB - The aim of this systematic review was on the one hand to determine the relationship between working time reduction (with remaining salary) and psychosocial effects and on the other hand to give practical suggestions for organizations. A total of 88 papers were identified and four qualitative and eleven quantitative studies were included. Although there was a great variety in operationalization and nationality of the sample, there was mainly a positive effect of working time reduction. Yet, there is no general overall implementation strategy, we suggest organizations/ employers to organize the shortening of working hours and to identify possibilities to optimize tasks and processes beforehand.
